Matting can be uncomfortable and, in some cases, painful for dogs. I always take extra care to keep the process as gentle and stress free as possible.
If your dog is heavily matted, an additional £10 dematting fee will be applied to cover the extra time and care required.
If matting is severe, I will always contact you before continuing to discuss the most humane and suitable option for your dog.

As a one to one grooming service, late cancellations have a significant impact and may prevent another dog from taking the appointment.
To be fair to all clients, cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged at 50 percent of the appointment fee. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or no shows will be charged at 100 percent of the appointment fee.

Appointments are carefully scheduled to allow calm, individual care for each dog.
At VentureTails, we operate on a strict appointment schedule to ensure every dog receives the time and care they deserve.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, or arrive 15 minutes or more late without notice, the appointment will be cancelled automatically and the full treatment fee will be charged. This is because it may not be possible to complete the groom without affecting the next appointment.
We are unable to push back other appointments, as doing so would negatively affect other clients. We respectfully ask that you allow plenty of time for travel.
A new appointment will need to be booked for a future date.

Each dog receives my full attention during their scheduled time. Late pick ups can impact the experience of the next dog.
If pick up is more than 15 minutes late after you have been notified your dog is ready, a £5 late pick up fee will be applied.

Fleas and ticks can happen and are nothing to be embarrassed about. However, for hygiene and safety reasons, if fleas are found during the groom, a £10 fee will be charged to allow time for thorough disinfecting. The salon will then need to close for 24 hours to protect other dogs.
If ticks are found, a £5 fee will apply. I do not remove ticks but will notify you and recommend seeking advice from your vet.

To secure your first appointment with VentureTails:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
The deposit must be paid within 48 hours of the booking being made.
If payment is not received within 48 hours, the appointment slot will be automatically cancelled.
A new booking will then need to be made, subject to availability.
The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of the groom on the day of the appointment.
